The Marshall family is an upper middle class African-American family living in Chicago, Illinois on the NBC daytime drama Generations.


First generationEdit

Henry Marshall (Taurean Blacque; James Reynolds) - The patriarch of the Marshall family. Married to Ruth Marshall. Father to Chantal (presumed), Jacquelyn and Adam. Built an empire out of an ice cream business. Has a rivalry with Martin Jackson.

  • Ruth Marshall (Joan Pringle) - The matriarch of the Marshall family. Married to Henry Marshall. Mother to Chantal, Jacquelyn and Adam.

Second generationEdit

Chantal Marshall (Sharon Brown; Debbi Morgan) - The eldest child of Peter Whitmore and Ruth Marshall, but raised as the eldest daughter of Henry Marshall. She is an attorney, serving as Assistant District Attorney.

Jacquelyn Marshall-Rhymes - The eldest child of Henry Marshall and Ruth Marshall; but originally thought to be the middle child. She is a homemaker and mother.

  • Kevin Rhymes - Jacquelyn's husband, and the father of their two children.

Adam Marshall (Kristoff St. John) - The youngest child and only son of Henry Marshall and Ruth Marshall. Has a young daughter, Danielle, from his affair with Doreen Jackson.

Danielle Marshall - Daughter of Adam Marshall and Doreen Jackson.
