Henry Marshall is a fictional character on the soap opera Generations.

He was portrayed two actors: Taurean Blacque and James Reynolds, who was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor.

Background[]

He was raised in the South Side of Chicago, as the son of a poor farmer from the south.

He met Ruth Potter, who was pregnant They fell in love and eventually married. He raised her daughter, Chantal, as his daughter, in addition to their own, Jacquelyn and Adam.

He and Ruth opens an icream parlor, Marshall's Ice Cream, on the South Side of Chicago, with the help of Rebecca Whitmore

Background[]

By 1989, Henry had provided a prosperous life for his family, now the owner of five successful ice cream parlors.

Henry nixes Ruth's suggestion that they buy Rebecca's family estate, which is up for sale. He also encourages Adam to finish college and later, is upset that Adam doesn't want to go to graduate school even though he has been accepted.

He also consoles Chantal, who says that her work is interfering with her personal life.

Henry talkes business with Joel Resnick after Rebecca says that Joel was on the up-and-up. But Joel, however, reported to his boss, Martin Jackson, that Henry nixed their offer to expand his business. Martin makes a personal plea to Henry to reconsider the offer to expand Marshall's Ice Cream. He has Rebecca to go over Martin's proposal to expand Marshall's.

Henry offers Adam an internship at the business during the summer.

He refuses to go along with Martin's business plan.

Ruth begins to worry after Adam moves in with Sam Whitmore and Monique McCallum and becomes upset that Henry won't force Adam to move out.

While playing pool, Martin agrees to help refurbish Henry's Southside ice cream plant if Henry wins the  game and agrees to move the plant to suburbs if he wins. Ultimately, Henry wins and Martin is upset that he has to go through with his offer to make improvement on the Southside plant.

Henry and Martin sign a partnership agreement.
